During the Tile Town Christmas Party in December 2022, I was recognized for seven years of employment at Tile Town in Richmond! And then on January 7th, 2023, I reached a new milestone of eight years with Tile Town! If you ask me if I had the ‘7-Year Itch’, the answer would be a resounding NO! You see, I am a member of the Tile Town Family and they are lucky to have me. I tell my boss that all of the time! ????
Many years ago when I first started at Milieu Employment, I found the job I never knew I wanted.
Within a month I considered Tile Town to be more than a job, it also became my ‘gym.’ You see, I get my cardio workout every day I work there, by lifting and moving heavy items from the back area to the showroom floor! Who needs a gym, when I have Tile Town?
Besides having a job I love, I also have goals to travel now that the restrictions for travel have eased, I would like to plan some trips to either Toronto or Edmonton with a friend.
It would be a great change of scenery from my little hometown of Ladner!
I appreciate the recognition and look forward to another eight years with Tile Town!! Need I say more? I love my job and the team I work with.
I am part of the Tile Town Family and I am proud of the job I do. I wish that everyone could find a job they love, and as I tell my Vocational Counselor, when you find that place you fit in and they treat you like family, you never even think of leaving!
